Two Sunshine Coast companies earn awards for recycling used materials

Two Sunshine Coast businesses are among 30 across the province that received awards from the BC Used Oil Management Association (BCUOMA).
The 2020 Long Time Service Award was given to Pender Harbour Diesel Co. for its efforts to collect used oil and antifreeze since the non-profit association began in 2003.
The 2020 awards are the BCUOMA’s second annual awards, and added two new categories including Most Improved and the Long Time Service Award. The Top Collector Awards thanks the return collection facilities that commit to recycling used lubricating oil, oil filters, oil containers, used antifreeze and antifreeze containers in British Columbia.
