Queensland COVID-19 mask mandate to be relaxed when vaccination rate hits 80 per cent over 16 getting at least one dose
Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has announced masks will no longer be required when 80 per cent of Queenslanders over 16 years of age have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
The Premier said people will be able to pack away their masks "the minute" the state reaches that target, with one good turnout at vaccination hubs today meaning the state could be mask free by tomorrow.
"This is another small step back towards life as normal," the Premier said.
"Queenslanders have done an incredible job all through the pandemic and this is their reward.
