Australia vs New Zealand, first Test every ball live and ad free on Fox Cricket 501 from 3pm EDT December 12-16 The MCG pitch has once again been thrust into the spotlight after a calamitous Saturday session.
Western Australia batsmen Shaun Marsh and Marcus Stoinis were left battered and bruised after deliveries rose sharply off the wicket, causing the game to be abandoned after just 39.4 overs.
And it has led to calls for the MCG to be stripped of the Boxing Day Test, even though the wicket which will be used later this month wasn’t involved in the dramatic event.
